Bring on 2020

I like this time of the year: the time when we can count the minutes until the decade is over, the time to reflect on how the past 12 months went the time to set goals and resolutions…

2019 was a very solid year for me, especially after how tough 2018

This year I focused on myself. I got my physical and mental health in order, I stopped trying to please everyone, and I did things that made me happy.

I’ve travelled a fair bit this year, but I’ve already told you about my fantastic summer and the breath-taking trip to Scotland – but those moments, especially because they were with the people I love will stay in my memories forever. What a way to close off the decade!

I also got promoted and hugely progressed at work. I fall in love with my job more and more, every day, despite how stressful it can be at times. I can finally, truly say that I love what I do and I do what I love. Perhaps I didn’t achieve the best work-life balance this year, but my professional growth has never seen such speedy incremental improvement ever before.

This Christmas was particularly amazing – I felt festive every day! Part of that is probably to do with my Fitmas Advent calendar (available on my Instagram highlights) – which is an achievement in itself – I wasn’t sure if I’ll be able to commit myself to daily videos for 24 days, but here we go!

I hosted Xmas dinner for my friends followed up by Christmas Jumper pub crawl the next day, and traditionally, we spent Christmas with Ben’s family, which was simply brilliant.

Now I’m very much looking forward to welcoming 2020. And of course, I have some resolutions, but let’s just call them reminders. This is what I want to remind myself to do more in the next year:

  1. Beat my personal bests in gym
  2. Eat more & gain weight
  3. Stretch more & improve my flexibility
  4. Play more piano
  5. Spend more time outdoors
  6. Allow myself to be more creative and produce more content
  7. Decorate our home
  8. Realise my ideas into projects and actual events and parties

Bring on 2020!

How was your 2019? What are your resolutions?

Love,

Po x
