For our eight year anniversary Ben took me to Paris. Eight years together turned into something much more romantic and important to celebrate. We got engaged.
On the 26th of September, at 8 am, Ben dragged me out of bed to have a photo shoot. If you know me well, you can imagine how delighted I was at the prospect (if you don’t, follow me on Instagram:))
We met the photographer at Trocadero just when the sun was rising. Zero tourists, just other couples with other photographers – the place has got the view!
Half way through the shoot my love, my partner and best friend got down on his knee and said the most beautiful things. He asked me to marry him.
Of course, I said YES.
The surprises didn’t stop there. We checked out from our hotel and checked into The Nolinski – the best hotel we have ever stayed at. It’s newly opened, very stylish and has an amazing service team. I somehow didn’t take any pictures (only Snapchat and duh, didn’t save them!) – maybe due to being so busy responding to all Social Media notifications 🙂
We spent the good part of the day at the hotel spa – and being the only people there made it seem like we had a private spa, all to ourselves, in this five star hotel, on our engagement day. Paradise!
Feeling fully refreshed we went to the Eiffel Tower. Champagne bar at the top was unfortunately closed, but we did get to see the views.
Do you see where I’m pointing? That’s where my absolute hero proposed to me 🙂
Our anniversary/engagement dinner was yet another fantastic thing on this great day. Ben took me to a beautiful restaurant with breathtaking views and the best food I’ve ever had. If you are ever in Paris, visit Les Ombres – you will not regret it!
I couldn’t have asked for a better day, a better proposal, a better partner, a better anything, really! I’m the luckiest girl in the world.
