Love Saves The Day: 5 things I learned

My bank holiday weekend was absolutely epic – I went to Love Saves The Day festival, in Eastville Park, Bristol.

It’s not my first festival, and certainly not the last one, but I couldn’t have enjoyed it more! I’m not going to bore you with a typical festival review – you all know what festivals are like, however there are a couple of things I’ve learned for myself, which I would like to share with you.

1. I don’t understand fashion

Spanish Princess – new series worth your time

Great news! Another good quality historical TV series have landed – and of course I had to jump right in it: The Spanish Princess.

Sequel to The White Queen, by BBC (set during the War of Roses), and The White Princess, STARZ (The beginning of Tudor reign), this story is about The Spanish Princess, Katherine of Aragon – the first wife of Henry the 8th. Continue reading “Spanish Princess – new series worth your time”

Consolidation time

We are the generation that saw huge development of all sorts of platforms as we were growing up: MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, blogs… You name them!

I don’t have enough fingers to count how many different social networks we got exposed to in our short life span. And naturally, most of us jumped right in to every single one of them, either to check it out, to stay relevant, or out of simple human curiosity.
Suddenly, we’ve put all of our eggs in too many baskets, we created too many accounts to be able to manage, we exist in so many different worlds, which at a glance, represent us in different light – depending on what and how often we choose to share valuable bits of our private lives.

Royal Wedding Drinking Game

Harry and Megan are getting married on 19th of May, giving us an extra excuse to celebrate all things British, drink gin and eat fresh scones and finger sandwhiches.

These two are arguably uniting nations better than Donald Trump and Teresa May could, so let’s celebrate this union in style – with the Royal Wedding Drinking Game.

What makes you happy?

Today is International Day of Happiness, which was introduced by the UN in 2012 to recognise ‘the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives’ as well as to be a useful reminder that the happiness comes from family, friends and good emotional well-being rather than money and fame.

This leads me to a question: who is actually celebrating this day – the happy ones, or the ones looking for happiness?

What happened to Po in ’17

We’re getting closer to the end of 2017 and I would like to review it – to savour the memories whilst they are still clear and write them down, so that I won’t forget.

What a year it has been! So much has happened, so many boxes have been ticked, so many great memories and realisations #adulting 🙂

So let’s start.

January 2017

I’ve started the year dressed as a police officer, and 12 days later (don’t forget, my birthday is on 12th of January!), I was the karaoke princess celebrating hitting a quarter of a century at the Mad Hatter.

The next day we went on a ski trip, which I’m sure you’ve read about and might have even seen the video. (…and if you haven’t, go for it! :))

All in all, my month was fantastic, so 2017 had a really good start.

Wish List

My birthday is coming up and the vital question get more popular every day: ‘What do you want for your birthday?’

To be honest, I don’t really know – I have everything I could wish for (apart from things that my friends clearly cannot afford to get me as a present lol), so I’ve listed some items below that would hopefully be helpful. Continue reading “Wish List”
