When a viral post brings 100s of haters

Over a year ago I wrote a post ‘20 signs you are from Estonia‘ back on my old blog which went viral. The blog was translated to Estonian and posted on delfi.ee, where hundreds of people decided to comment on the context.

When I moved my blog, I moved the content over. Somehow it went viral a couple of days ago yet again – out of my control. It was translated to both Estonian and Russian and posted on postimees.ee

The post was for fun, having a laugh at the biggest stereotypes and originally was addressed at people who come from Estonia but no longer live there.

Why I hate being ill

With the temperature going below zero, it is officially flu time – I have recently joined the army of people who sneeze and blow their noses all day long. Yikes!

When I was younger, getting ill felt like a holiday – you don’t have to go to school, get to watch cartoons all day, eat in bed, and when you come back to school you can easily slack off some homework for a day or two: ‘Sorry I was ill’.

Motivation and Inspiration Day

Hello and Happy New Year!

Today is Motivation and Inspiration Day, which is timed perfectly to talk about keeping up with the New Year’s resolutions.

The hangover is gone, so it’s time to get motivated and inspired for the coming year. I would like to share my resolutions with you. These aren’t the practical ones (I have a long list of them!), these are to keep my head up and stay motivated.

Don’t take yourself too seriously. No one else does. Relax, breath and only compare yourself to your past self. Continue reading “Motivation and Inspiration Day”

Not so White Christmas

It’s Christmas Eve, and there is no snow. I’m not shocked or surprised at all – it’s to be expected – I live in England. 😀  Usually, I’m super jealous of my family and friends in Estonia – they tend to get a beautiful, White Christmas. Not this year though! No one seems to have a White Christmas this year – is it a sign of global warming or did the seasons get shifted?

I’ve learnt to adjust to a ‘green’ Christmas and feel the festivities from the Christmas tree, decorations and music around me… But I would definetely give up half of my presents for some snow!

Have a wonderful Christmas and fingers crossed for snow (not going to happen!) 🙈
