10 reasons why Puglia should be your next holiday destination

I’ve shared my trip with you guys on Instagram, but I don’t feel like it justified just how amazing Puglia, South-East region of Italy was. You absolutely have to add it on your bucket list, and here is why:

1. You can stay in the Trullo – cone-shaped house unique to the region

davWe stayed in one just outside Ostuni – Trullo Dipinto. I’ve never stayed in a place like that before, but can certainly say: when in Puglia, stay in a trullo! Here’s what it looked like inside: Continue reading “10 reasons why Puglia should be your next holiday destination”

Drafts & Notes:  Keep your opinion to yourself.

The other day I was tidying up drafts on this blog, along the notes across my phones and notebooks, and I’ve realised how much I’ve chosen to keep private; how I wasn’t ready to share so many thoughts and opinions with you.

Don’t forget here, we’re talking about me. For someone who isn’t afraid to be opinionated and unfiltered, the quantity of thoughts, hypothesises and notes that I wouldn’t dare to publish was astonishing. The reason they forever stayed as drafts is simple – Continue reading “Drafts & Notes:  Keep your opinion to yourself.”

Love Saves The Day: 5 things I learned

My bank holiday weekend was absolutely epic – I went to Love Saves The Day festival, in Eastville Park, Bristol.

It’s not my first festival, and certainly not the last one, but I couldn’t have enjoyed it more! I’m not going to bore you with a typical festival review – you all know what festivals are like, however there are a couple of things I’ve learned for myself, which I would like to share with you.

Dinner out for £10? Yes please!

I am forever on a hunt for a bargain – especially when it comes to meals out, as more often than not you end up spending your weekly supermarket budget on just one meal in a restaurant.

Living in Oxford, which is considered the most unaffordable city in the UK, it can be quite tricky to both manage your finances, whilst enjoying eating out.

Rejoice, fellow Oxfordians, especially the residents of East Oxford, as I have discovered an amazing deal for a delicious dinner in one of the best pubs within the area: The Supper Hour at The Magdalen Arms.

Consolidation time

We are the generation that saw huge development of all sorts of platforms as we were growing up: MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, blogs… You name them!

I don’t have enough fingers to count how many different social networks we got exposed to in our short life span. And naturally, most of us jumped right in to every single one of them, either to check it out, to stay relevant, or out of simple human curiosity.
Suddenly, we’ve put all of our eggs in too many baskets, we created too many accounts to be able to manage, we exist in so many different worlds, which at a glance, represent us in different light – depending on what and how often we choose to share valuable bits of our private lives.

Russia: Faggots not allowed

There is this scandalous Russian blogger – Lena Miro – who I love to read once in a while, purely because her style of writing is very different from anyone else – she is straightforward and not afraid to voice her opinion, which I love.

Some people call her a bully, but I don’t particularly care about people getting offended by what she writes – if you don’t enjoy it – don’t read it – simple as! The main reason I read her blog on a regular basis, is because she sheds some light on current affairs in Russia and she writes about things that are interesting for an average Russian.

She’s posted the below photo, that has been making circles around Reddit, and expressed her opinion, that regardless of current culture and legislation, signs like these, especially in English, are unacceptable, as they strengthen the mood of ‘unsafety’ when visiting Russia, not just for gay people, but for everyone, and tourism is important.

Guess what happened next?
