Great news! Another good quality historical TV series have landed – and of course I had to jump right in it: The Spanish Princess.
Sequel to The White Queen, by BBC (set during the War of Roses), and The White Princess, STARZ (The beginning of Tudor reign), this story is about The Spanish Princess, Katherine of Aragon – the first wife of Henry the 8th.

Everyone who knows me is aware of what a huge TV series junkie I am. I watch them when I get ready, when I cook… Basically all the time. So without further adieu, here are my new finds:
What: Mystery drama. A girl commits suicide but leaves the tapes with her story behind.
Why I like it: Great acting and deep, captivating story. Absolute binge.
My obsession with English medieval history started quite a while back.
I was back home on holiday when I walked into the lounge where my dad was watching The Tudors with an encyclopedia on his lap. He was fact checking the series (as you do!) and pointed out that since I have moved to England, I should probably spend some time getting to know the history of the country.
I mean, I was sold straight away – watch a drama TV series and learn history at the same time – ideal. That’s when I found out all about Henry VIII, his six poor wives and the English church reformation.
Even though there are a lot of historical inaccuracies, the cast is great, the plot is very dramatic and there are a lot of sex scenes 🙂

If you ask any of my friends whether I am a TV series addict, their answer would probably be ‘Hell yes!’ or ‘When is she going to shut up about yet another series she is watching?’. The nice answer and the honest answer. Ha.
So now I’m taking it to my blog in a hope that someone with as much addiction to good TV series and strong dependence on new episodes and seasons coming out will actually appreciate the post. #highhopes
