Ask a Stupid Question Day

I’m not really sure who came up with International Ask a Stupid Question Day – perhaps, someone who keeps asking silly questions and wanted a day in the year when they are totally within their rights to ask one? 🙂

Anyway, let’s entertain this idea – head to my ask.fm and ask as many stupid questions as you like – I promise to answer them all! 🙂

ASK ME A STUPID QUESTION 🙂

Akbar Trastevere @ Rome

Who cares about the tourist guides or Tripadvisor?
Once you’ve walked through the door of a nice establishment, you know whether you are going to love it or hate it (until you get your first drink anyway 🙂 )Ben and I were wandering around the Trastevere area and spotted a bar – Akbar – it looked really  nice from the outside, so we decided to give it a shot.

Obladi Oblada

We have just arrived to Rome, got our beautiful apartment keys and decided to pop down for a drink.

The place just below the apartment – Obladi Oblada- gave us the first true impression of a real Roman bistro.

Not only did this place remind me of my dad (who is a huge Beatles fan), it has also set both Ben and I in the right mood for our short break. Continue reading “Obladi Oblada”

What’s your back garden like?

I’ve got a lovely garden. It needs a little bit of TLC, but it’s lovely.

The main bonus of that garden, though, is the magical door at the end of it. The magical door that takes you to the best back garden you could ever ask for – South Park.

It only takes a couple of steps to have a perfect view of a sunset over Oxford. I can’t even express how chuffed I am 🙂

Emmys Red Carpet #wouldyouwearit

After last night’s Emmy ceremony, my Facebook feed is dominated by red carpet photos.

Some celebrities look amazing – some, on the other hand, don’t.

I strongly believe that the dress could be state of art, but if you don’t have the body to pull it off, you WILL look horrendous.
So I rounded up top 3 dresses I would only dream of wearing and 3 dresses that I wouldn’t wear even if I got paid for it. Let’s start with the worst:

3 Emmy Red Carpet Dresses I would not wear

  1. emmys 2015 red carpet

Nazanin Boniadi always looks absolutely gorgeous, but I am not keen about her dress. I find the shapes weird, and for a flat-chested girl like me, this dress would be a total nightmare. Continue reading “Emmys Red Carpet #wouldyouwearit”

New House

My boyfriend and I decided to break our routine – after three years of living together, just the two of us, we’ve decided to move in with a friend to a bigger, nicer house.

The location is amazing – there is a park just outside the garden, there is a gym nearby and the road with bars and takeaways is five minute walk away. Lush. 🙂
Living in a quiet family residential area on the other side of Oxford from all of our friends, proved not only boring, but also inconvenient (think of all the taxi costs!)polina.rocks Polina Skrebneva blog new house

The house is generally bigger than our old flat – bigger bedrooms (more closets!), bigger bathtub (my paradise), bigger kitchen (finally!), and most importantly, bigger lounge/diving room / social space.
I love hosting dinner parties, and now actually have the space for them!

Anyway, I am super excited, as this house feels like a new beginning, full of inspiration and positive vibes.
